I am an Senior Lecturer in the School of Biology at the University of St Andrews in Scotland.

My research is in the field of computational biology. I examine complex biological networks, developing and evaluating algorithms to infer functional interactions based upon observational data. I develop advances for and work with agent-based models and Bayesian networks.

See my Research Page for more detail about my research and the biological networks which I study. I have also provided some background for the computational methods with which I work.

Masters by Research, MSc(Res)
One-year research-only Masters are available in my group. These are excellent stepping-stones from undergraduate dissertations, enabling students to spend a year full-time on research only.
